Visualizing LOCO BC’s Buy Local Campaign


LOCO BC is a growing alliance of local companies working to strengthen communities, grow the local economy and build strong, sustainable businesses. LOCO BC is well aligned with Backyard Creative’s values. We have been a member of LOCO BC since its inception in 2009, so we’re always game to help communicate the value of buying local.

We worked collaboratively with our client to visualize a digital campaign,”7 Ways for 7 Days”, that would promote their annual Buy Local Week and inspire holiday shoppers to think local first. Using some existing assets (icons) and building on LOCO BC’s brand standards, we added photography to their content (using local sources) and activated each of the seven days with a different colour, to support each day’s “shop local” message. One main graphic summarized the overall campaign, and was supported by one graphic per day. Graphics were used on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook.
