Graphic Designer & Illustrator
Born and raised on the coast of Vancouver Island, Sarita was fortunate enough to spend her youth playing in the elements surrounded by immense natural beauty. Her education and formative working years were heavily influenced by the self-starting nature of her parents and her community. This nurturing environment has given her a deep respect for nature and the confidence to approach things a little bit differently.
Sarita applied her unique perspective through design school and transition to working in the field. Though she’s all grown up, her love for playing in the elements has not gone away, and moving in harmony with the natural world is a constant inspiration. Sarita believes the most authentic, organic solutions are often created by hand, and this approach comes across in her design work.
What is in your backyard?
The mountains and the sea, which I’m lucky enough to escape into daily.
How are you creative when you’re away from your work?
Creativity is a lens for how you move through life. Whether I’m on my mountain bike, surfing, running, practicing yoga, or spending time in the pottery studio, creative focus and intention is guiding my every move.
How are you active in your community?
I offer yoga in my community. It’s a great way to create daily benefits in your body and mind personally, while building connections within your community over time in a natural way. I also spend time with salmon and stream enhancement groups doing conservation work within my local surroundings.
