Graphic Designer & Illustrator
Cheryl knew early on that she wanted to have a creative career, which led her to study Communication Design at Emily Carr University in Vancouver. With a particular interest in infographics, illustration, and layout design, she continues to build on a core set of design skills and is always keen to tackle new creative challenges. She aims to bring a unique and fresh perspective to the projects she works on, and create work that is thoughtful, engaging, and clear. She now divides her time between freelance design and illustration projects and running her cheeky and cute greeting card line, Quirky Paper Co.
What do others say are your super-powers?
People usually mention how I am very detail oriented, focused, and organized. I love spreadsheets, project management systems, and keeping track of all details and tasks!
How are you creative when you’re away from your work?
I enjoy experimenting with different DIY projects, taking creative workshops and trying out new hobbies. I love to sew and make my own clothing, and am also really interested in interior design and home decor projects.
If you could only wear one colour for a week what would it be?
Burnt orange – I am just particularly drawn to wearing that colour!
